The project involves a feasibility study and the creation of pre-production prototypes of TPU tubes reinforced with spiral (coil) and braided (braid) metal structures.
The metal reinforcement consists of round or flat wires made of medical-grade AISI 316 stainless steel, and is embedded into the tube during the production phase. In this way, it is completely enclosed within the tube wall, with no contact with the outside.
The finished product retains all the strength and flexibility properties of the TPU used, with the added benefit of superior kink resistance provided by the internal metal reinforcement. This results in tubes capable of maintaining high flow rates even when subjected to tight bending radii.
Thanks to our production process, we guarantee an extremely thin wall thickness and technical characteristics that exceed the standards of currently available products, along with excellent biocompatibility.
The range of tubes currently producible includes diameters from 15 to 30 Fr with lengths up to 90 cm, guaranteed kink resistance that can easily surpass the 4D rotary test. For certain materials, even the 2D rotary test can be exceeded.
The only way to do great work is to love what you do.
Once the materials had been identified and the production process designed, we moved on to the creation of prototypes and the standardization of the production process. In this way the passage of information to external production departments occurred without loss of information and in a rapid and precise manner.
